My Time At Disney
During my year in industry, I had the incredible opportunity to work at The Walt Disney Company as a solutions engineer intern. My role focused on supporting Disney Entertainment and ESPN, where I assisted our schedulers with Linear TV scheduling and ad sales. I gained valuable insights into the broadcasting industry and developed my technical skills. It was an enriching period that enhanced my understanding of the intersection between technology and entertainment.
What I did in my role:
Conducted troubleshooting and root cause analysis for over 200 unique issues, providing 1st line support to global end users and minimising downtime while reducing hours worked.
Processed 78 tasks, addressed 5 major issues, and processed 28 application edits for root cause analysis and enhanced system reliability.
Authored several comprehensive process documents to resolve cases, with knowledge transfer on audits, processes and application actions.
Assisted with the decisions for hiring the interns for 2025/26, going through CVs, interviewing and giving offers to applicants and updating the training plan to align with current applications and support.
Onboarded applications for global use by collaborating with owners and developers to determine support needs and informing new users.
Provided customer training and shared learning with other teams as part of resolving issues and improving efficiency.
Managed IAM systems, permissions, and user control through Active Directory and Okta.
